School & University Piano Tuning
Developing future musicians
School and University Piano Tuning Services
School and university pianos are some of the hardest working pianos on the planet. They need to cater to students and musicians ranging from beginners through to seasoned pianists.
All school and university pianos must be tuned to perfect concert pitch to develop the correct aural training for the students as well as the ability to play along with other instruments or a recording.
Brian Wilson regularly tunes music school, public and private school and university piano fleets and holds a Blue Card – Working with Children check.
He has tuned for the QLD Conservatorium of Music, High Schools with specialist music programs including Ferny Grove High School, Griffith University Queensland Conservatorium, School of Music Queensland University, Somerset College (since 1993) Hillcrest Christian College, and All Saints Anglican College.
He understands the challenges of maintaining school and university pianos, and schedules out-of-school-hours and school holiday appointments to work within school calendars.
Pre-performance tuning before concerts, exams or events are also available.
Most schools and universities book Brian at the beginning of each year to lock in their tunings to meet their forward performance and exam timetables. This way, they ensure their pianos are in peak condition throughout the year and that Brian has the availability to look after their piano fleet.
